Pilchuck-9820

Roy and Chief and I went to Mt. Pilchuck east of Everett near the Verlot Ranger Station in the Cascade foothills on the last Friday of June. There was still snow for the last half or two thirds of the climb. I stopped a little above the snow line; Roy and Chief continued on to the top. I had enough energy but I ran out of gumption; besides, I was there to take pictures and refresh my country-boy roots, and I have been to the old fire lookout at the very top of Pilchuck many or at least several times. It was a good day for a hike - a little sun, a little rain, and fog as we climbed into the clouds.
