Dave's Porsche GT3 is an appropriate metaphor for the T-38: very fast, very beautiful, very exciting to drive or even ride. He was showing me its accelleration and when he hit second gear, it jerked me out from under my Stetson. I just got it back in place when he hit third gear and I lost it again. Fortunately I had it snugged down better when he hit 4th gear. Dave wouldn't appreciate it if I said what speed we attained in that short run, but ironically it is the same speed that the T-38 would be when it left the runway.
